Yogyakarta is a city that has legendary culinary wealth that has been worldwide. Besides Gudeg, there is another legendary menu in Yogyakarta, namely Sego Pecel Bu Wiryo. Sego Pecel is a kind of traditional salad consists of boiled vegetables such as spinach, long bean, and sprouts that served with peanut sauce and rice. Sego Pecel Bu Wiryo that well known as SGPC Bu Wiryo founded in 1959. This restaurant located in the midst of the academic environment of Gajah Mada University.

SGPC Bu Wiryo is a stall that founded by a couple Dario (husband) and Suyati (wife) who has surname Wiryo Soenarto in 1959. At the beginning of its establishment, this stall located in the east of KTPU of Gajah Mada University. In 1944, the location of this stall moved to Jl. Agro CT VIII, Sleman district (in the north of Selokan Mataram).

SGPC Bu Wiryo still maintains a simple building containing tables and long benches made of wood that lined up in this stall. It shows a strong impression that SGPC Bu Wiryo is modest and has consistently inherited the traditional culture. Besides that, there is also live music that entertains customers when visiting this restaurant.

According to its name, the main menu of this restaurant is a special Sego Pecel. You might be surprised because not until 2-3 minutes the menu that ordered is ready to eat. Fast service and the readiness of the waiters are very important to appreciate the arrival of the customers in this SGPC Bu Wiryo. Furthermore, you only need to pay around IDR 10,000-12,000 for tasting a plate of Sego Pecel with side dishes.
